Un blocco amministrativo è scattato per una nave mercantile ormeggiata nel porto di Pozzallo a seguito di un’operazione ordinaria di controllo sulla sicurezza della navigazione e sulla tutela dell’ambiente marino. Come informa una nota della Guardia Costiera locale, l’ispezione – eseguita nella giornata di ieri dal personale specializzato della Capitaneria di Porto – ha portato alla luce diverse non conformità rispetto alle normative nazionali e internazionali. Le carenze riguardano in particolare i dispositivi antincendio, i protocolli di prevenzione dell’inquinamento ambientale e il rispetto delle tutele sul lavoro marittimo. A fronte di queste criticità, alla proprietà della rinfusiera è stata comminata una sanzione amministrativa del valore complessivo di 10.000 euro. La Capitaneria, contestualmente alla multa, ha disposto il fermo della nave; come da prassi, l’imbarcazione non potrà riprendere la navigazione e rimarrà bloccata nello scalo ragusano fino a quando non saranno interamente ripristinati gli standard di sicurezza previsti dalla legge e regolarizzate tutte le posizioni difformi. Quello di ieri è il terzo provvedimento di fermo eseguito dall’inizio dell’anno nel porto di Pozzallo nei confronti di unità mercantili. Il monitoraggio all’interno dello scalo proseguirà in modo sistematico e senza interruzioni, con l’obiettivo di garantire il rispetto delle convenzioni internazionali, salvaguardare l’ecosistema marino e tutelare l’incolumità degli equipaggi e della collettività, conclude la nota. Un nuovo operatore s’affaccia sul mercato dei collegamenti fra Italia e Corsica. Da alcune settimane rimbalza sulla stampa corsa la notizia della creazione, da parte del 28enne corso Vincent Lucchini, di una nuova società, Cors’Express, che dalla seconda parte dell’estate punta ad avviare una serie di collegamenti veloci fra Bastia e l’Italia per mezzo di un aliscafo veloce. Liberty Lines ha confermato di aver ceduto alcuni mesi fa a tale società il foilmaster Hsc Calypso, attualmente in fase di refitting nel suo cantiere siciliano, che lo consegnerà a giugno al nuovo proprietario. Lucchini ha dichiarato a Corse Net Infos che, presa in consegna la nave, inizierà i test di navigazione da Bastia su tre porti italiani continentali, con l’obiettivo di mantenere i tempi di collegamento fra le 2 ore e le 3 ore e 15 minuti, con al limite un collegamento da 4 ore. Il che significa che il porto o i porti prescelti potrebbero essere Portoferraio, Piombino, Livorno e, forse, i porti liguri. Sulla variabile meteo Lucchini sostiene che Calypso potrebbe viaggiare per il 97% dell’anno. Nel medio periodo Cors’Express punta al collegamento con la Francia continentale, previo passaggio della nave a bandiera francese. Lunga 32 metri, Calypso è stata costruita nel 2005 dai Cantieri navali Rodriquez, può trasportare 220 passeggeri e, dotata di 2 motori Mtu 16V serie 396 da 2.000 kW ciascuno, può raggiungere i 36 nodi. Poland’s gas transmission system operator (TSO), Gaz-System, has unveiled a new milestone in the construction of a new floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), destined to be part of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal located in the Gulf of Gdańsk. Gaz-System has confirmed that a new FSRU vessel, which was launched at theHD Hyundai Heavy Industriesshipyard in South Korea, will arrive at the Gulf of Gdańsk by the end of 2027 to work at Poland’s first FSRU terminal. The launch is described as one of the most symbolic moments in the shipbuilding process, which marks the completion of the main structural work and the transition to the next phase of the project. Miłosz Motyka, Poland’s Minister of Energy, commented:“Poland is implementing its bold strategy to build a modern and resilient energy system that strengthens its own security and that of the entire Central and Eastern European region. Poland’s FSRU project taking shape as onshore segment makes new inroads The Polish TSO elaborates that the coming months will involve the start-up and integration of the vessel’s systems, including connection to shore power, the commencement of generators and boilers, and tests of the vessel’s power systems, which will be followed by testing at sea and gas to confirm the correct operation of the propulsion system, safety systems and regasification plants under operational conditions. The completed FSRU will arrive at the Gulf of Gdańsk at the end of 2027, and the beginning of regasification services is scheduled for the first quarter of 2028. Gas-System is adamant that the work is also progressing on the onshore component of the FSRU program in Poland, as the TBM arrived in Górki Zachodnie near Gdańsk, where it will bore a more than a kilometer long microtunnel to accommodate the offshore gas pipeline being constructed for the terminal. The tunnel will run beneath the coastal forest, the dunes, the beach, and the seabed of the Gulf of Gdańsk, enabling connection of the terminal to the national gas transmission system. Major construction work is expected to begin on the FSRU terminal jetty in the Gulf of Gdańsk in the coming months. The work on the onshore gas pipelines along the Gdańsk-Gustorzyn route is also well advanced, with all elements of the investment project – from the offshore infrastructure to the onshore transmission network – being carried out in parallel and on schedule. An international consortium led by Stillstrom, part of A.P. Moller – Maersk, has secured €5 million from the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program to develop and demonstrate offshore charging infrastructure for stationary vessels at anchor with their engines running. The three-year SPARK project brings together eight partners across five countries to deploy and test a pilot offshore power zone solution in Skagen, described as one of Northern Europe’s busiest anchorage hubs, targeting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by idling ships between operations. The offshore power zone will enable vessels to plug into an at-sea power point with electricity provided via the nearby Port of Skagen. The pilot will initially support a single ship connection to prove the concept in a live operational environment, with the goal of expanding the solution globally. Besides technical delivery, the project will assess commercial viability and regulatory pathways to support wider adoption across the maritime industry. “Near-shore idling vessels represent a significant and often overlooked source of GHG emissions, making them a clear and immediate opportunity for decarbonisation,”said Stillstrom CEOKristian Borum Jørgensen. “Project SPARK brings together partners from across the maritime ecosystem, enabling us to collectively accelerate offshore power from concept to real-world deployment, delivering a practical and economical solution for the maritime sector.” Integrated vessel charging technology firm Stillstrom is leading the project with partners being Aalborg University, DNV, Maersk, MARIN, Port of Malta, Port of Skagen and University College London. I l primo impatto con Pantelleria è un contrasto netto: rocce nere, mare verde che vira al turchese, profumo di capperi e macchia mediterranea scaldata dal sole. Non ci sono spiagge di sabbia, né file di ombrelloni. Qui ci si stende sulla pietra lavica calda, si entra in acqua da scalette scavate nella roccia, si fa il bagno in un lago termale dentro la caldera di un vulcano. Una settimana a Pantelleria è una pausa lenta, fatta di bagni silenziosi, cene all’aperto e tramonti che tingono tutto di arancio e viola. Preferisci ascoltare il riassunto audio? È la quarta isola italiana per estensione, poco inferiore all’Elba, e appartiene alla provincia di Trapani. Questa posizione così isolata si sente in tutto: nel vento che arriva spesso teso, nella luce molto intensa, nella cucina che mescola ingredienti siciliani e influenze nordafricane. L’isola è di origine vulcanica: rocce nerissime, coni, colate antiche, sorgenti calde e fumarole creano paesaggi che cambiano a ogni curva. Il periodo più gettonato resta l’estate, quando il mare è più caldo e le giornate lunghissime, ma il clima mite la rende interessante anche nelle mezze stagioni, soprattutto se l’obiettivo non è solo il bagno ma anche trekking, terme naturali e degustazioni. In mesi meno affollati è più semplice vivere l’isola come la vivono i panteschi: ritmi lenti, dammusi silenziosi, pochi rumori oltre alle cicale e al vento. Pantelleria si raggiunge in due modi principali: via mare o via aereo. Dal porto di Trapani partono aliscafi veloci e traghetti più lenti ma comodi se si vuole imbarcare l’auto. In alternativa, l’aeroporto collega l’isola con Palermo, Trapani e Catania, e in estate si aggiungono spesso collegamenti da città come Milano e Roma, pensati proprio per chi vuole una fuga secca di una settimana senza scali in Sicilia. Dormire in un dammuso e muoversi sull’isola Pantelleria A Pantelleria la scelta dell’alloggio non è un dettaglio: dormire in un dammuso cambia completamente la percezione del viaggio. Si tratta delle costruzioni tipiche dell’isola, realizzate in pietra lavica a secco, con muri spessi e tetti a volta bianchi. La struttura è pensata per trattenere il fresco, resistere al vento e raccogliere l’acqua piovana: ogni dettaglio ha una funzione precisa, frutto di secoli di adattamento a un ambiente difficile. Quasi sempre il dammuso ha una terrazza ampia, spesso pavimentata in pietra, con sedute in muratura e cuscini, da vivere come un salotto all’aperto. La sera l’aria profuma di origano e finocchietto selvatico, il cielo è scuro e pieno di stelle, e l’unico rumore è il frinire degli insetti. La scelta della zona incide molto sul paesaggio: l’area di Scauri guarda verso ovest e regala tramonti diretti sul mare; dal lato opposto si apre lo scenario dell’alba, con la luce che sale dal mare e illumina progressivamente le terrazze coltivate. La cosiddetta “città di Pantelleria”, il centro principale con porto e servizi, è utile per commissioni, carburante e spostamenti, ma non è il contesto più affascinante per soggiornare se l’obiettivo è il relax. Per chi cerca silenzio e natura, le contrade e i dammusi sparsi nel verde offrono un’esperienza molto più coerente con lo spirito dell’isola. Per gli spostamenti è importante sapere che Pantelleria non è piccolissima e le baie più belle sono sparse lungo tutta la costa. Avere un mezzo proprio (auto o scooter) permette di raggiungere con facilità le cale, le cantine, i sentieri del parco nazionale e i punti panoramici. La strada perimetrale regala spesso scorci sul mare e passaggi tra vigneti di zibibbo coltivati con il sistema ad alberello, riconosciuto dall’UNESCO come patrimonio agricolo per la tecnica con cui le viti vengono protette dal vento. SCOPRI ANCHE: LE ISOLE DELLA SICILIA Una settimana tra mare, terme naturali e parco nazionale Pantelleria L’aspetto più sorprendente di Pantelleria è il mare senza spiagge di sabbia. Qui il bagno si fa da scogliere, piattaforme in legno e discese nella roccia. Le scarpette da scoglio non sono un vezzo ma un accessorio fondamentale per godersi l’acqua in tranquillità. Per chi cerca punti di accesso al mare relativamente comodi ci sono zone come Cala Tramontana, Cala Levante e Gadir, dove scalette e passerelle rendono più semplice entrare in acqua. Lì il mare ha spesso riflessi verde intenso che virano all’azzurro, con il contrasto netto della roccia nera. In molte altre porzioni di costa basta fermarsi lungo la strada, scendere verso una piattaforma naturale e tuffarsi: l’isola è quasi tutto un susseguirsi di rientranze, lastroni lavici e piccoli approdi. Arco dell'Elefante Uno dei simboli di Pantelleria è l’Arco dell’Elefante, una grande formazione rocciosa sul mare la cui forma richiama, in modo piuttosto evidente, la testa di un pachiderma che si piega sull’acqua. Si raggiunge sia da terra, nella zona di Cala Levante, sia via mare durante il giro dell’isola in barca. Sotto l’arco l’acqua è trasparente, con fondale visibile e sfumature che cambiano man mano che sale il sole. La natura vulcanica si manifesta anche nelle acque calde. A Sataria e nelle calette vicino al porticciolo di Scauri affiorano vasche naturali di acqua termale molto calda, quasi vasche da bagno scavate nella pietra. In piena estate la temperatura può risultare impegnativa, ma immaginare queste pozze fumanti in giornate più fresche, con il mare agitato a pochi metri, dà l’idea di quanto possano essere apprezzate fuori stagione. All’interno dell’isola il protagonista è il Lago di Venere (chiamato anche Specchio di Venere), un bacino di origine vulcanica senza sbocchi sul mare. L’acqua ha tonalità diverse, dal verde chiaro al turchese lattiginoso, e lungo le sponde emergono zone calde alimentate da sorgenti termali. Sul fondale si forma un fango fine, che molti utilizzano per uno scrub naturale all’inizio della vacanza: la pelle resta liscia, pronta a prendere colore con più uniformità. Attorno al lago il paesaggio è molto verde, con canneti e colline che fanno da cornice e una fauna interessante, soprattutto per chi ama osservare gli uccelli migratori che si fermano qui durante i loro spostamenti. Per chi ama camminare, Pantelleria è un enorme parco giochi: il Parco Nazionale tutela una rete di sentieri che tocca boschi, coni vulcanici, vigneti e affacci sul mare. I percorsi ufficiali sono numerosi e con diversi livelli di impegno, ma in generale non richiedono tecnicismi estremi, quanto piuttosto scarpe adatte, acqua e attenzione al sole. La Montagna Grande, che supera gli 800 metri, è il rilievo di riferimento: sui suoi fianchi si trova la Grotta di Benikulà, dove il vapore caldo che esce dalla roccia crea una vera e propria sauna naturale. Sott’acqua Pantelleria continua a stupire: se la costa è un susseguirsi di scogliere e colate antiche, i fondali alternano secche, pareti, zone ricche di vita marina. I centri diving dell’isola organizzano immersioni per diversi livelli di esperienza: dalle esplorazioni adatte a chi è alle prime armi fino a immersioni più tecniche, ideali per chi vuole crescere di livello o ottenere un brevetto. Chiudere la settimana con un giro in barca intorno all’isola è quasi un riassunto di tutto: grotte marine, rientranze, scogliere alte, punti dove buttarsi in acqua e restare a galleggiare guardando la roccia che scende a picco. Le escursioni organizzate sono facili da trovare in alta stagione; si può scegliere se includere soste lunghe per il bagno, pranzo a bordo o tour più brevi concentrati su alcuni tratti. L’agricoltura è un pilastro antico: le viti ad alberello vengono coltivate in conche scavate nel terreno, per raccogliere l’umidità e proteggere le piante dal vento, e regalano il famoso passito di Pantelleria. L’area di Kamma è fra le più caratteristiche dal punto di vista viticolo, con filari che seguono le curve del terreno e si affacciano sul mare. Molte cantine organizzano visite e degustazioni, spesso accompagnate da racconti sulla fatica necessaria per coltivare qui. La cantina Donna Fugata propone diverse opzioni di visita, mentre l’indirizzo Muggen – L’isola dentro l’isola unisce produzione vinicola e accoglienza, con aperitivi generosi serviti sotto un porticato circondato da vigneti. È il classico posto dove un calice di bianco aromatico, qualche piatto di cucina locale e la luce del tramonto costruiscono una serata intera. Pantelleria è anche terra di capperi: crescono fra le rocce, nei muretti, nei campi. Sono un ingrediente centrale nell’insalata pantesca, nel pesto a crudo che condisce la pasta estiva, nelle conserve sotto sale o sott’olio che finiscono in valigia al ritorno. La cucina pantesca miscela il mare con le verdure dell’orto: pensare a un cous cous di pesce arricchito con melanzane, zucchine, peperoni e patate rende bene la cifra di questa contaminazione mediterranea. Sul fronte storico, l’isola custodisce tracce molto antiche. Nel Villaggio di Mursia, sul versante occidentale, emergono i resti di un insediamento dell’età del bronzo, un tempo centro importante per il commercio dell’ossidiana, la pietra vetrosa ricavata dalle colate laviche e utilizzata come strumento da taglio in epoca preistorica. Di fronte all’area abitata si trova la necropoli dei Sesi, monumenti funerari in pietra a pianta circolare che raccontano un modo di costruire e di vivere completamente diverso da quello attuale. Più recente ma altrettanto interessante è il Castello di Pantelleria, affacciato sul porto. La struttura ha attraversato epoche diverse: origini bizantine, trasformazioni normanne, rifacimenti in età di Carlo V con l’aggiunta di torri difensive contro le incursioni dal mare, e infine un lungo periodo come prigione sotto i Borbone e poi dopo l’Unità d’Italia. Oggi ospita un museo archeologico e rappresenta anche un punto di lettura geologica, perché nelle sue mura sono riconoscibili diverse rocce vulcaniche provenienti da eruzioni di epoche differenti.

China-based provider of clean energy services Wison New Energies (WNE) hasinitiated the construction of topside fabrication for a floating production unit (FPU) destined to be deployed at Türkiye’s largest natural gas field. Wison New Energies has begun topsides fabrication for an FPU, which will work on theSakaryagas field development project (Phase 3) in the Black Sea, operated byTürkiye Petrolleri A.O. (TPAO). Following the first steel cutting in February 2026, the project has achieved another key milestone, according to the Chinese firm, which explains that the main functional modules are scheduled to complete lifting in June 2027. Upon delivery, the FPU will serve as the core facility for the Sakarya gas field Phase 3, integrating gas processing, compression, and export functions, with a designed gas export rate of 25 million standard cubic meters per day (scmd). This FPU is anticipated to play a vital role in supporting the stable production at the gas field, strengthening Türkiye’s domestic natural gas supply capability, and enhancing regional energy security. The final batch of the inter-array cables for Ecowende’s Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm was loaded onto Van Oord’s cable-laying vessel (CLV) Nexus in Eemshaven on May15, according to TKF (Twentsche Kabelfabriek). Under the contract for the 760 MW offshore wind farm, TKF is responsible for the development, production and delivery of inter-array cable and connectivity solutions to distribute the generated power from the 52 offshore wind turbines towardsthe TenneT substation. The cables have a reduced environmental footprint, as they do not contain lead or bitumen that can be harmful to the environment,TKF said via social media. This is in line with the plans of the Ecowende joint venture (Shell, Eneco, and Chubu Electric Power), which says its project is“the most ecological wind farm yet”, with several environmentally friendly and nature-inclusive solutions used during construction and integrated into the wind farm itself. Van Oord, the project’s main contractor,began offshore construction at the Hollandse Kust West VI sitein September last year. The offshore wind farm, located approximately 53 kilometres off the Dutch coast near IJmuiden, will comprise 52 Vestas V236-15.0 MW wind turbines. Van Oordcompleted the installation of the 52 monopile foundations, produced by Sif and Smulders, this spring. The 760 MW Hollandse Kust West VI is expected to be operational by the end of 2026 and to supply roughly 3 per cent of the Netherlands’ current electricity demand. La guerra in corso fra Autorità di regolazione dei trasporti e Autorità di sistema portuale s’arricchisce di un nuovo capitolo. Il presidente dell’autorità di garanzia Nicola Zaccheo, infatti, ha intimato alle dieci Adsp inadempienti di inviare entro fine mese i dati previsti dalla delibera con cui Art è intervenuta a fine dicembre in materia di concessione portuale. In particolare entro fine marzo le Adsp avrebbero dovuto mandare a Torino i dati relativi alle concessioni in essere, comprensivi di modalità di determinazione dei canoni e Pef (Piani economici finanziari), e ai servizi di manovra ferroviaria. A rispondere, però, sono stati solo gli enti di Ancona, Catania, La Spezia, Napoli, Taranto e Venezia. Sicché ai presidenti de10 enti portuali ribelli Zaccheo ha ricordato che “la trasmissione di informazioni finalizzate all’esercizio di funzioni assegnate dalla legge costituisce immediata espressione del principio di leale collaborazione. Si segnala altresì che il persistere dell’inottemperanza alle citate misure di regolazione, oltre a costituire una grave violazione del sopra citato principio, rappresenta ostacolo o impedimento all’esercizio delle funzioni di una pubblica Autorità, con tutto ciò che ne consegue sotto il profilo degli obblighi di segnalazione all’Autorità giudiziaria”. L’inottemperanza delle Adsp è legata all’impugnazione, da parte delle Adsp di Genova e Bari, col supporto di Assoporti ma in contrapposizione al Ministero delle infrastrutture e dei trasporti, costituitosi con Art, dell’intera delibera di Art. Ed era stata annunciata da Assoporti (il cui fronte intanto si è però evidentemente sfaldato, dato che 6 Adsp hanno adempiuto a quanto previsto dalla delibera Art): valutando illegittima la delibera, le Adsp non ne hanno ottemperato le previsioni. Un primo verdetto sulla lite potrebbe arrivare la settimana prossima, quando il Tar di Torino si riunirà in camera di consiglio. A.M.
